While I was enjoying my first cup of coffee this morning I decided to take a walk through the Beaux Freres Vineyard. As I strolled through the vineyard enjoying the crisp morning air, I looked for signs of ripeness in each block. I was hoping to see these beautiful burgundy colored sets of fruit, and I just happened to find a few. Surprisingly though it seems as if veraison has come to a halt, as I have seen little change in the cluster over the past two weeks. I am however very pleased to see how healthy the vineyard is. I tried a few clusters here and there throughout the different blocks. The one that impressed me the most was in the Frazier block, the fruit was ripe and stimulating to my palette.  It will be interesting to see what changes will happen within the next couple of weeks to the vineyard and to the clusters.......
