The 2008 growing season got off to a slow start. Spring did not really show her face around the farm until May – this gave us bud-break almost a full two weeks later than usual. From there the season continued to plod along slowly but steadily with mild temperatures. Bloom and fruit-set followed in line, trending a bit later than the norm. All this time our crew was steadily working away – tucking shoots, thinning leaves, dropping crop and while they were keeping the vineyard in tip-top shape Mike and Grant were busy making sure the biodynamic preparations were properly made and applied at the correct time.
