Tasting Notes:

Our 2009 Willamette Valley cuvée is a comprised of fruit from the following vineyard sources: Zena Crown 32%, Beaux Frères 25%, Gran Moraine 21%, Amalie Robert 13%, and Upper Terrace 2%.

It is a medium to full-bodied wine with sweet tannin, low acidity and an intriguing bouquet of “foresty” underbrush, redcurrants and black cherries. With a hint of Asian spices it has undeniable charm, silkiness and velvety texture. These are all hallmarks of the best 2009 Oregon Pinots and are well displayed in this wine.

Maturity:

It should drink nicely over the next 5 to 8 years.

Vineyard Info:

Our ‘Willamette Valley’ cuvée features fruit grown on select vineyard sites in Yamhill County. The wines benefit from the same integrity in the winemaking process as our estate wines. The sites are farmed sustainably and managed to very low yields. It is not fined or filtered. We age the wines in the same French oak barrels used in our estate bottling, however the percentage of new oak is intentionally lower. This cuvée consists of wine made from the following vineyards: Zena Crown, Beaux Frères, Gran Moraine, Amalie Robert, and Upper Terrace.
