Tasting Notes:

Our 2010 Willamette Valley cuvée is a comprised of fruit from the following vineyard sources:
Gran Moraine 42%, Zena Crown 37%, and Shea 21%.

Of the three cuvees this is the most forward and easiest to drink right now (in fact it is difficult to stop drinking). Dark ruby in color, with aromas of blue fruit and spice. On the palate the fruit shows plum, dark currants, sweet cherries and a dash of raspberry. Medium to full bodied, supple and pure with sweet tannins.

Maturity:

This cuvee should age well for 7-10 years.

Vineyard Info:

Our ‘Willamette Valley’ cuvée features fruit grown on select vineyard sites in Yamhill County. The wines benefit from the same integrity in the winemaking process as our estate wines. The sites are farmed sustainably and managed to very low yields. It is not fined or filtered. We age the wines in the same French oak barrels used in our estate bottling, however the percentage of new oak is intentionally lower. This cuvée consists of wine made from the following vineyards: Zena Crown, Beaux Frères, Gran Moraine, Amalie Robert, and Upper Terrace.
